Cher will open the show singing her best-selling single of all-time, 1998's 'Believe'.before serving as a guest judge. She will close the show with her new single, beautiful ballad 'I Hope You Find It', which has already spent two weeks in the UK Top 40.
The singer - who's new album 'Closer To The Truth' debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 - told PEOPLE, "It's always strange when people do something like this. You're not thinking about those kind of things. It just always takes me by surprise. It just does."
Though having already danced for decades (watch below), Cher will not be doing too much moving on the show's stage when singing, due to an ongoing injury to her foot; "I am waiting to have an operation. The doctor got a little crankier and said I have to do it."
Sonny and Cher's son Chaz Bono was a contestant on 'Dancing With The Stars in 2011 but the 67-year-old Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner deems herself past the appropriate age of being a contestant on the dancing contest ("Aren't I old enough now not to be a contestant anymore? Haven't I got past the contestant part?") and says that she and Chaz are excited for the Cher-themed upcoming episode: "I am excited for it and he is too but like me, he is low-key and won't get excited for it until that day. We are all low-key."
- On the UK mid-week charts, 'Closer To the Truth' is at #11, whilst 'I Hope You Find It' is at #38.
- 'Closer To The Truth' has slipped 5 places to #13 on this week's Billboard 200.
