US President Barack Obama hosted a star-studded fundraiser event in Los Angeles, and Cher was there!
Singer-actress Cher made a rare public appearance alongside her mother Georgia Holt, son Chaz Bono and friend Loree Rodkin at a fundraising event for LGBT activists hosted by US President Barack Obama at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.
Rodkin took to Twitter to write about the event beforehand, telling her followers, "[I'm] Going to [the] Obama event with Cher tonight. She's one of the smartest women I know - [she] can talk circles around me about most subjects. Go girl".
She contiued, "I saw Cher's outfit for tonight... She's going to be stylin'... I'm lucky to be her date tonight!"
Later, at the fundraiser, Rodkin used the social networking site to tell her followers, "[we're at the] LGBT/Obama [event]. We almost missed the [it], we were so busy taking pictures of eachother and laughing hysterically in our suite".
Other celebrity guests amongst the crowd of about 600 were legendary baseball player Willies Mays, talkshow host Ellen Degeneres and actress Julia Roberts.
