Twitter News Round-up: Cher Discusses Fun Co-Stars, Winona Ryder, and Snaps At A Rude Gaga Fan

Winona Ryder and CherCher spent some of last night tweeting her fans. As is usually the case when Cher has a Twitter session, there is lots to talk about.

Firstly, one Cher fan (and faithful friend of 'Cher News', @eng911) asked the Academy Award-winning actress, "Who was a fun person to work with?" Cher revealed a chosen few; she listed Meryl Streep from their time on 'Silkwood'; Stanley Tucci from 'Burlesque'; Kurt Russell, who she affectionately called "Kurty", also from 'Silkwood'; and "My darling little girls" Christina Ricci and "Noni" (A common nickname for Winona Ryder), who both played Cher's daughters in 'Mermaids'. With little space to type any other names, Cher concluded that there are, "So many more!"

Cher Tweets About Death Hoax

CherPop Icon Cher has joked about the "RIP Cher" hoax in a series of humorous tweets.

One of the many things that people love about Cher is her personality; not many celebrities in her league are as down-to-Earth as this perennially popular superstar. In spite of the fact that an incalculable amount of Twitter users believed that she had passed away, Cher remained as good-humoured on the subject as ever.

In her first tweet on the subject, Cher joked, "Well here I am tweeting from the Hereafter. It's very blue up here and thank God they gave me a view of the sea, palm trees and a Balinese house."

Kim Kardashian Slams "RIP Cher" Hoaxsters For "Sick Joke"

Reality television star Kim Kardashian branded the recent Twitter Cher death hoax as a "sick joke" from people that "need to get a life".

As the term "RIP Cher" became a trending topic on Twitter, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star Kim Kardashian may have accidentally helped to spread the rumour even further. However, she soon expressed her distaste at the hoax once she discovered the truth.

It was unclear as to whether Kim believed the rumour or not at first as sometime during the "RIP Cher" incident, she tweeted, "Did I just hear that Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG."

Celebrity death hoaxes have become extremely common on Social networking site Twitter. Top stars such as Mick Jagger, Jon Bon Jovi, Justin Bieber, Jim Carrey, Rihanna and even the US President Barack Obama have become the victims of such hoaxes. Now, legendary entertainer Cher has now joined the list.

A rumour that Cher had died spread across Twitter just hours ago, seemingly thanks to one particular user who tweeted "RIP Cher" and more on the subject.

Cher: I want To Keep A Twitter Diary When I Tour

Cher in concertCher has revealed that she will keep us all updated during her upcoming concert tour!

It's always a positive thing when Cher mentions her upcoming tour as it ensures us that it's actually going to happen. Well, the star has mentioned it once again on social networking site Twitter when she revealed that she wants to "Keep a Twitter diary" during the tour.

Cher, whose last tour sold an astonishing 3.2 million tickets, tweeted, "When I tour, I want to keep a Twitter diary and get all the crew, dancers, singers and band to tweet with me."

Grammy Nominee Diane Warren Talks About "You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me"

Diane Warren with her 'Best Original Song' Golden Globe Award for 'You Haven't Seen the Last of Me' by Cher from 'Burlesque'Songwriting legend Diane Warren is nominated twice for 'Best Song Written For Visual Media' at this year's Grammy Awards. One of the awards is for Cher's "You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me" from "Burlesque". The songwriter has been speaking to 'MTV News' about the song.

When 'MTV News' asked Diane Warren, "How did you end up with a song in 'Burlesque'? ", the songwriter replied, "It's a good story". And she was telling the truth!

Cher's New Album Is Still Not Finished

CherSuperstar Cher has revealed that her new album is still not finished.

In late November, singer-actress Cher stated that her new studio album, which will include her Lady Gaga duet 'The Greatest Thing,' will be released early the following year. So, as it's now January, I decided to contact the eternally-youthful superstar, on social networking site Twitter, to see if her new album is completed yet.

I asked Cher, "Is your new album finished yet?"

Cher's $120,000 Car Up For Auction

Cher's BentleyCher's former Bentley is being auctioned by "ultimate Hollywood insider" Arnie Klein.

A 2005 Bentley continental, formally owned by international superstar Cher, will be auctioned in Los Angeles by noted Beverly Hills dermatologist Arnie Klein. The flashy vehicle, estimated to fetch between $80,000 to $120,000, sports "CHERZGT" vanity plates.

Klein is a friend of the stars, which is apparent in his upcoming Bonham's auction collection; items such as a black fedora owned by Michael Jackson, cufflinks owned by Elizabeth Taylor and a harmonica used by Bob Dylan are amongst several that are estimated to fetch a grand total of $700,000, with Cher's former Bentley being the star piece.
